WMGQ/Middlesex-Somerset Flips to NJ's Christmas Station

Beasley Media Group flips AC WMGQ-FM (Magic 98.3) Middlesex-Somerset, NJ, to Jersey's Christmas Station, officially launching Friday at 2pm. WMGQ asked its listeners to vote for the holiday classic they felt should kick off the festivities. The winning song was Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You." All-Holiday favorites will continue to air on Magic 98.3 through Christmas Day.

"We are all very happy to be able to continue the annual tradition of becoming Jersey's Christmas Station," said Program Director Debbie Mazella. The station will be playing non-stop holiday music to add to the excitement of the season/"

In addition, Magic 98.3 will present the 3rd Annual "Magic of Christmas Toy Drive" in conjunction with Magyar Bank to make the holidays a little brighter for the kids at Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital. Beginning Monday, November 26 through Monday, December 17, the station will collect new, unwrapped toys to bring some smiles and make a difference in a child's life this holiday season. The MAGIC 98.3 Santa and his elves will bring all toys to the hospital on Wednesday, December 19.

Finally, to wrap up the holiday season, the station will give listeners the change to compete in the first ever "Ugly Christmas Sweater" contest. Beginning on Monday, December 3 through Friday, December 14, listeners will have the opportunity win some extra Christmas Cash this holiday season by submitting photo of their ugliest sweaters exclusively through Instagram.
