Alpha Media/Portland, OR, has announced that The Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) Group and Nielsen Music have name Amanda "Ice" Habrowski the 2019 MIW Group-Nielsen Music Programming Mentee. A 15-year veteran of radio, "Ice" is the Assistant Program Director, Music Director and midday host for CHR KBFF-FM (Live 95.5).

The one-year mentorship matches a female programming candidate with key leaders from both the MIW Radio Group and Nielsen Music aimed at sharpening the programming and professional skills needed to further their career in music-formatted radio. The program encourages hands-on mentorship through conversations and shared insights from some of the most accomplished professionals in the field.

"'Ice' symbolizes what the MIW Group and Nielsen look for in a mentee and that is talent, passion and energy," said Presslaff Interactive Revenue Founder Ruth Presslaff. "We're excited to be working with her more closely, helping her professional network grow and furthering her already impressive career."

"As the third year co-sponsoring the Annual MIW-Nielsen Music Mentoring Program, it's an honor to name Amanda 'Ice' Habrowski as this year's honoree," added Nielsen Director of Radio Haley Jones. "Nielsen values diversity and inclusion and being a part of this mentorship program continues Nielsen's mission to promote equality in the workplace. Nielsen looks forward to more years collaborating and further advancing women in radio, alongside MIW."

"What an honor," said Habrowski. "I am so excited to learn and grow alongside some of the most influential and inspiring women in our industry. I cannot thank the MIW Group and Nielsen enough for this incredible opportunity and you better believe I'll be taking full advantage of this mentorship program. Chicks rule."
