Bay Area local sports figures Tom Tolbert, Paul McCaffrey, and John Lund have teamed up to create the Bay Area Sports Collective, a new podcast network that promises to bring fresh and engaging sports content to fans. The network officially launched Wednesday with three headline shows: "The Tom Tolbert Show," "Paulie Mac's Particles," and "John Lund Unleashed," all available live on YouTube and various podcast platforms.
Jeremiah Crowe, a former Bay Area sports radio programmer and the co-founder of the network, will oversee business operations, marketing, and sales. Crowe's involvement signals a strategic direction for the collective, with plans to expand the network's offerings and reach.
Tolbert stated, "I am thrilled to join my partners Paul McCaffrey, John Lund, and Jeremiah Crowe to launch this exciting Sports podcast network. Together, we will leverage our combined relationships, knowledge, and experience to offer sports fans the most entertaining and informative content."
McCaffrey shared his excitement with a sports analogy: "You know that feeling of anticipation when Steph Curry launches a 3-point shot from downtown? That's how I'm feeling to be bringing Paulie Mac's Particles to the Bay Area Sports Collective. The good times are just beginning."
Lund commented on the significance of this new chapter in his career, noting, "Looking to the future after many successful years in sports radio working with some of the best talent out there to now teaming up with iconic guys like Tom and Paulie, plus the all-star team we've put in place at the Bay Area Sports Collective, it's going to be special for me personally, our fans and our audience."
Crowe highlighted the network's potential impact: "This announcement marks the dawn of a new day for the underserved Bay Area Sports fan. Multiple professional sports franchises have already expressed strong interest in migrating programming to our network, and local blue-chip advertisers have also contacted our team. This is the future of Sports entertainment."
The Bay Area Sports Collective is now live, offering daily shows that combine sports analysis with pop culture and engaging discussions with high-profile guests. Fans can access the new content through YouTube at Bay Area Sports Collective or on podcast platforms like Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Spotify.
