Hubbard Radio Launches Gamut Podcast Network

Hubbard Radio has officially launched the Gamut Podcast Network, marking an expansion into the podcasting industry and establishing it as a central element of the company's media approach. This new venture stands alongside Hubbard's longstanding terrestrial radio operations and its digital marketing branch, 2060 Digital, as a third foundational pillar.

Gamut Podcast Network, which integrates pre-existing shows from various Hubbard markets, represents a strategic shift from viewing podcasts merely as supplements to radio to recognizing them as a core, scalable business entity. This transformation is geared towards adapting to evolving consumer behaviors and securing Hubbard Radio's relevance for the next century.

Ginny Hubbard, CEO of Hubbard Radio, emphasized the significance of this launch, stating, "The launch of Gamut is more than a rebrand; it's a pivotal evolution for our company. By establishing Gamut as a core component of our business, we are embracing the future of media and ensuring Hubbard's relevance for the next century."

The foundation for Gamut was laid by John Goforth, Vice President and General Manager of the Gamut Podcast Network, who has worked since last August to build the necessary infrastructure, assemble a dedicated team, and hone the strategic direction of the network. Jeremy Sinon, VP of Podcast Operations, has partnered with Goforth in this endeavor, helping to transform a once decentralized collection of podcasts into a unified network with both national reach and local depth.

"Gamut is designed to reflect both where the industry is and where it's going," Goforth explained. "Yes, we're building a national powerhouse-but we're just as focused on lifting up unique voices and staying true to the communities we serve. It's about reach and relevance. That balance is what makes Hubbard special, and it will make Gamut special too."

The network will initially focus on a variety of content categories with high growth potential, including technology, music history, wellness, sports, true crime, and more. Among its first major partnerships is a deal with Professor of Rock, a respected music historian, to bring his storytelling to podcast platforms for the first time.

David Bestler, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hubbard Radio, commented on the strategic importance of this investment, "Investing in Gamut is a strategic decision that aligns with our long-term vision. We are committed to allocating the resources needed to ensure Gamut's success, and with the team we've built, we're confident we're positioned to become a major force in the space."
